A busy week here in Gabba land..

Many mornings are spent like this, watching Gabba in my bed
and getting ready for busy days, like the days from last weekend and this past week...

Sloane went to Kennywood for the first time with Mommy and Grammy...
She LOVES to ride the turtle and was thrilled to see that they
had one, just like at Idlewild.
There has also been lots of fun in the backyard, like in the sand box...
And yesterday we took a trip to the Good Zoo @ Oglebay Park in Wheeling, WV...
where we fed a friendly goat from the stroller...
and saw this nice guy begging for food...
and took in the other sights...
and had a very yummy lollipop...
...and rode a train with Mommy (not in black today).

5 months old!

This little boy is 5 months old!
We're not quite sure how that happened already...

He likes to eat...often.  He's eating squash, bananas, peas, carrots, and all sorts of other Gerber goodness (because this working momma can't find enough hours in the day to make her own baby food).

He's usually as happy as he is in these pictures...except for when he's hungry.
He LOVES his bigs sister; I'm convinced that they are each other's favorite people.
We're not quite sleeping through the night yet, but I have hope that it's coming very soon.
Last month, baby Graham weighed in at 20lbs, 4 oz.
His 9 month clothes are getting a bit snug, so we're moving on up to 12 month clothes already.
He's starting to babble and likes to flash ladies his smile.

We're so glad you're here, baby G!  We can't imagine life without you!

She's ready to go!

Typical Sloane...
In the car last weekend...in her cow seat, listening to twinkle
over and over and over again...
while eating a lollipop with her Chick.Fil.A nuggets by her side...
This picture made me decide that
the girl needs to have her next birthday party (the big 3!!) at Chick.Fil.A...
complete with cows!

We never saw this coming...

It's a sad week...my girlfriend's mom passed away.  She was a wonderful, wonderful lady who made her daughters' friends feel like her own children and I'm really going to miss her.  It breaks my heart that she won't get to meet her first grandchild who is on the way and that she won't be here for her other daughter's wedding.  You never really know when your time is up; she was 53 and had a ton of living left to do.  She was happiest with her girls around; when we were in college we'd randomly get in the car (her super nice 2 year old car that somehow we ended up with in Slippery Rock while everyone around us was driving beaters), drive 45 minutes south and surprise her.  We'd end up usually getting dinner out of the deal and she was always so glad that we'd rather have dinner with her than be doing other "college" things.  I hope that I am as kind, caring, and generous to my children's friends as she was to me...she always made me feel like part of their family.  I was around all the time for a lot of years--and never once did I ever feel anything but welcome.  Rest in peace, Maur...and thank you for the wonderful memories.

"Who can turn the world on with her smile..."

...Time to stop being a lurker and start blogging.  Well, I have other reasons in addition to not wanting to be a stalker that comments on other people's blogs and then runs away.  I don't want to think back on the fun times (and not so fun times) when my kids were little and not remember...
So, in my attempt to remember, here it goes!
